Beholder presents PLANETARIUM a puzzle story

Planetarium Backstage

Planetarium is a Beholder project. It came about with the assistance of the following people and software.

Proofreader

  • Judith Bagai

Puzzle Advisors/Mathematicians

  • Paul Earwicker AFIMA (at DERA Farnborough)
  • Prof. Dave Cohen (at Royal Holloway)

Development Environment

  • Content Team/Techies at Planet Internet UK (1996)
  • Continuity and copy-checking by Thérèse Hackett
  • Numerous Thai restaurants

Shareware/Freeware

The following freeware and shareware contributed to the project.

The Beholder site runs on a Unix server. It’s hosted by several friends on a non-commercial basis — thanks to them this site is a haven free of advertising.

The ragged 1990’s HTML was finally tidied up in 2006 using the MacOS X port of HTML Tidy. The most recent wash of the HTML was in 2015, bringing it into line with the main Beholder site. At the same time, we took the opportunity to re-render the main images: they’re now bigger, a little bit brighter, and the glass globe the mathemagician is holding in part i is very slightly different, just to make it look better.
