A diagrammatic render of the Six Beasties structure, using plain textures instead of the “realistic” ones. The strange building was the location of the story, in which the rooms and connecting corridors degraded or became more intact from week to week, depending on readers' activity as they poked around reading the prose in each weekly instalment. For returning readers it may have been useful to know which rooms had changed, and by how much, so this was a data visualisation test using red/green pigments (with non-random test data). Six Beasties was a Beholder project I did a lot of work on in 1997-9, and which never went live.
