The hands you see in the video are those of author Dave and heroic volunteer Jonathan Whiteland. Actual elapsed time: about 1 min 30s. This was filmed after we had tied around 30, so we were getting quicker. But not this quick.
Although her fingers don't appear in this film, half of the sets shipped so far have actually been tied by Louise Furneaux. She even tied one set on her own, just to show that it could be done with a single pair of hands. She thereby proved, by implication, that the author didn't really need to recruit volunteers at all, and was just being lazy. It is considerably easier with two pairs of hands, though . . .
